How yo doing man~! 오늘은 like(~처럼 / 좋아한다)
1. Like='similar to(~랑 비슷한)', 'the same as(~처럼/ ~같은)'.
◎ 여기서 as는 like랑 같이 사용되지 않아.
● 한 아름다운 저택이구나! 그건 한 궁전 같아. (= 멋진 저택이네, 궁전같아.)
= What a beautiful mansion! It's like a palace. (not as a palace)
● 조심해! 그 바닥은 닦여져 왔어. 그건 얼음 위를 걷는 것 같아.
= Be careful! The floor has been polished. It's like walking on ice.
◎ 위 문장에서 볼 수 있었듯이, like(~처럼, 좋아한다)는 여기서 '~처럼' 즉, Preposition(전치사)로 쓰여. 그러니까 like(~처럼)은 Noun(like a palace), Pronoun(like me), Gerund(동명사/-ing/like -ing) 앞에 등장할 수 있어.
● Drax: 기다려봐... 울고 있는 한 아기 같이 들리는데...
= Wait... It sounds like a baby crying.
◎ 어떠한 것에 대한 예를 들 때에도 'like'를 쓸 수 있어. (= for example). 같은 기능으로 'such as'도 쓸 수 있어.
● Johnny Magenta: 난 맨몸운동을 사랑해, 푸쉬업, 친업, 그리고 니턱같이 말야.
= I love calisthenics, [like / such as] push-ups, Chin-ups, and Knee tucks.
2. As(~처럼/~같은) | 'as' before Subjective + Verb.
◎ 'as'는 'like'와는 형태는 다르지만 같은 의미(~처럼)으로 쓸 수 있어. 예를 들어 보자.
● Mantis: 나 아무것도 옮기지 않았어. 난 모든 것을 있었던 것 같이 남겼어. (= 암것도 안건드렸어. 모두 원래 있던 그대로 뒀다고!!!)
= I didn't move anything. I left everything as it was.
● Johnny: 난 언제나처럼 굉장히 섹시하고, 똑똑해 그리고 미치도록 부유해.
= I'm super sexy, smart and insanely rich as always.
3. Movie time - 가오갤2 / 로우리스.
Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 - 맨티스와 드랙스 / 욘두와 퀼 / 로켓과 욘두.
● Mantis: 전 당신을 그런 것 처럼 좋아하진 않아요. 난 심지어 당신같은 류를 좋아하지도 않아요.
= I don't like you like that. I don't even like the type of thing you are.
● Yondu Udonta: 나도 네가 가장 못되고 매정한것처럼 구는거 알아.
= I know you play like you're the meanest and the hardest...
● Yondu Udonta: 딱 나 팔아먹은 내 망할 부모들처럼말이야... 그들 자신의 작은 아기를... 노예속으로..
= Just like my own damn parents who sold me...their own little baby, into slavery.
● Peter Quill: 당신 메리 포핀스같아 보여.
= You look like Mary Poppins.
