Zǎoshang hǎo~ Jay~! 대만에 있었을때가 생각나는군!
1. nouns(명사들)과 함께 말하는 both(둘 다) / neither(둘 중 어느 것도 아니다) / either(둘 중 어느 하나) | (both cars, neither car).
● Viggo: 두 식당들 다 매우 좋지.
= Both restaurants are very good. (not the both restaurants)
● Winston: 그리고 두 레스토랑중 어느 곳도 비싸지 않아.
= And neither restaurant is expensive.
● John: 우리는 두 레스토랑중 어느 하나로 갈 수 있군. 난 사양하지 않아.
= We can go to either restaurant. I don't mind.
◎ 여기서 either은 첫 번째로 지목하는 대상이거나 또는 그 밖의 또 하나의 다른 선택지를 지칭할때 사용해. 그리고 둘 중 어떤 것이든 상관 없어.
◎ either = one or the other, it doesn't matter which one you take
2. 둘 모두를 대상으로 하는 말 'of(~의)'가 따라붙는 both / either - both of, either of, neither of.
◎ the third person singular(3인칭 단수)를 말 할 때, both of / neither of / either of + the / these / my / Wick's ...etc 의 형태로 말 할 수 있어. 예를 들면 'both of the guns', 'both of those cars'처럼 할 수 있어. 예를 들어 보자.
● 이 술집들의 둘 다 너무 좋아.
= Both of these bars are very good.
● 난 그 총들의 어느 하나도 써본 적 없어.
= I haven't tried either of those guns.
