1. On time & In time
On time(정각에, 시간을 어기지 않고 / punctual, not late)
◎ 만약 어떠한 상황이나 행동이 정확한 시각에 이루어지는(on time)것을 표현할 수 있어. / 'on time'의 정 반대 의미는 'late'야
● 그 11시 45분 기차는 정시에 떠났습니다.
= The 11:45 train left on time. (= it left at 11:45)
● 우리는 7시 30분에 만날거야. 그러니까 제발 정시에 있어라~. 늦지 마!!!
= We'll see at 7:30. So, please be on time. Don't be late!!
In time (for something/to do something)(~에 시간 맞춰, 늦지 않게 / soon enough)
◎ In time은 '정확한 그 시각'보다는 해당 약속된 시간 안에(늦지만은 않고, 그보다 일찍은 됨) 이루어지는 일에 대해 말해. | 그 반대는 too late(너무 늦은)이야.
● 넌 저녁식사를 위해 시간 안에 집에 올 거니?
= Will you be home in time for dinner? (= soon enough for dinner)
● 아... 세상에 난 그 게임을 시청하기 위해 시간 안에 와야 했어... 그것을 보기엔 내가 집에 너무 늦게 왔어.
= Ah... geez I had to be in time to see the game... I got home too late to see it.
2. At the end & In the end
At the end (of something)(~의 그 끝에 / at the time when it ends)
◎ 상황이나 행동 또는 특정 기간이 종료되는 그 시점을 말하기 위해 사용해. | 그 반대는 'at the beginning (of ...)'라고 할 수 있어.

● 그 공연의 그 끝에서, 모두가 박수쳤어.
= At the end of the concert, everyone applauded.
● 난 9월의 그 시작에서 떠날 거야. (= 9월 초에 떠날거야.)
= I'm going away at the beginning of September.
In the end(마침내 / Finally)
◎ 'in the end'는 '마침내, 결국'처럼 상황이나 행동의 최종적인 결과를 두고 말해. | 그 반대는 'at first'를 주로 사용해.
● Linkinpark: 난 떨어져 모든걸 잃었어야 했지만, 그 끝 안에서(결국엔) 아무 상관 없던 거야.
= I had to fall to lose it all. But in the end it doesn't even matter.
● 처음에, 난 너가 너무 멍청했다고 생각했어.
= At first, I thought you were so dumb.
3. Interstellar_ Joseph Cooper: 그들은 끝없이 시간과 공간에 아무런 제약 없이 연결할 수 있었어! 다만 그들은 정확이 언제 어딘지를 찾지 못한거라고!!
● 조셉 쿠퍼: 그들은 무한한 시간과 공간으로 연결을 가지고 있어, 하지만 그들은 어떤 것에도 얽메이지 않은 거야. 그들은 시간 맞춰 한 정확한 장소를 찾을 수 없어. 그들은 소통할 수 없어.
= They have access to infinite time and space, but they're not bound by anything! They can't find a specific place in time. They can't communicate.
