Morning bro~! 모의고사도 봤을 거고, 이제 시험기간이잖아? 조금이라도 꾸물거리지 않고 목표를 위해서 가보자고! 그냥 Winner가 아니라 KING이 되기 위해서!! 오늘부터 이번 Theme의 마지막 장인 136까지는 Preposition과 다른 문법 요소간의 조합으로 의사전달을 할 거야.
1. nice of VS be nice to.
nice/kind/good/generous/polite etc. of somebody (to do something) - somebody가 something을 하는 것은 ~(adjective)한 거야.
● 네가 그 다른 사람들을 돕는 것은 좋아! 난 네가 자랑스러워.
= It's nice of you to help the other people! I'm proud of you.
● It was stupid of me to write about the cow. But I was kidding.
= 내가 그 소에 대해 쓰는 것은 멍청했어. 하지만 난 농담하고 있던 거라고.
be + nice/kind/good/generous/polite etc. to somebody - somebody에게 ~(adjective)한 상태야.
● 넌 정말 나한테 친절해.
= You're really kind to me.
● 난 사람들에게 무례하게 되려 노력하고 있는게 아니야. 난 그저 무관심한거라고.
= I'm not trying to be rude to people. I'm just indifferent.
2. Adjective + about / with (= ~에 대해/함께 ~한).
◎ about이나 with를 사용해 '대상에 대해 ~한 상태'를 말할 수 있어.
● 너 늦는 것 때문에 나한테 화났어?
= Are you annoyed with me for being late?
● 너 그 시험에 대해 긴장했어?
= Are you nervous about the exam?
2. Adjective + at(~에) / by(~에 의해) / with(~에 대해) / of(~이).
◎ Adjective(형용사)랑 같이 사용되는 다른 prepositions(전치사들)을 알아보자.
● 난 그 뉴스에 놀랐어.
= I was surprised at the news.
● Jeff Hardy(제프 하디 to 트리플 H): 난 그 게임에 신물나. 난 너한테 신물난다고.
= I'm sick of the game! I'm sick of you!
3. sorry about(~에 대해) / for(~때문에/~여서) 미안해.
◎ 'sorry about(~에 대해 미안한)'을 통해 상대에게 일어난 일이나거나 영향을 끼친 일에 대해 사과를 할 수 있어.
● 그 난장판에 대해 미안해.
= I'm sorry about the mess.
● 어제 네게 소리지르는 것 때문에 미안해.
= I'm sorry for shouting at you yesterday.
4. I'm sorry I (did something) / Preposition을 생략하기 / The losers(루저스)_ Idris Elba: 내가 니 머리 잘라버리겠다고 위협해서 미안해...
● Jeffrey Dean Morgan: Roque... 내가 너를 그 얼굴 안에 때렸던것에 미안해.
= Roque... I'm sorry I hit you in the face.
● Idris Elba: Clay, 내가 미안해 내가 네 머리를 잘라버리겠다고 위협했던거 말야.
= Clay. I'm sorry I threatened to cut your head off.
오늘의 요약. Look at me! I'm black Superman!
