How yo doing ma brother~! 금요일이라도 지금쯤 고1 기말고사 준비하느라 정신 없겠네. 여기는 지금 월요일이야. But I bet you gotta remember this. 'Si vis vitam para mortem' 오늘부터 이번 theme의 마지막 까지 Verb(동사)랑 Preposition(전치사)의 조합에 대해 볼 거야. 레츠 기릿!!!
1. Verb(동사) + to(~에) / ~에게 ~하다.
◎ 'talk/speak to somebody'와 같이 일반적으로 사용하지만 'to'대신 'with'도 쓸 수는 있어.(쓰는 빈도수도 매우 드물기는 하지만.) 한번 예를 들어 보자.

● 난 너가 이것을 내게 설명해주길 원해.
= I want you to explain this to me.
● 난 어쨌든 일어났던 것에 때문에 네게 사과할게.
= I apologise to you for what happened anyway.
'to'를 생략하고 말하기.
◎ 실제 대화상이나 문서상에서도 'to'라는 Preposition(전치사)를 생략하고 문장을 이어가는 경우도 많아.

= He thanked me for giving hands.
● Will Smith: 음... 음... 전 그런 사람이에요... 만약 제게 질문 하나를 물으신다 해도 저는 그 답을 모를겁니다. 전 제가 모른다고 말씀드릴 겁니다. 하지만 제가 당신께 확실히 해 드릴 수 있는 것은. 전 그 정답을 찾는 방법을 압니다.
= Uh... Um... I'm the type of person... if you ask me a question, and I don't know the answer, I'm gonna tell you that I don't know. But I bet you what. I know how to find the answer.
2. Verb(동사) + at(~에) / ~에 ~하다.
◎ 'at'을 사용해 '대상을 향해 ~을 하다'라는 개념을 설명할 수 있어.
● 왜 너는 그런 식으로 내게 보고 있는건데? (= 왜 그렇게 날 쳐나보고 있는 거야?)
= Why are you looking at me like that?
● 내게 웃는 것을 멈춰. (= 그만 좀 웃어라...)
= Stop laughing at me.
3. 'at' VS 'to'
◎ 어떤 verbs(동사들)은 'at'이나 'to'같이 Preposition(전치사)가 따라붙는데 서로 의미가 달라. 한번 보자.
● 그는 너무 화가 났었고 내게 소리치기 시작했어.
= He got very angry and started shouting at me. (= when you are angry)
● 그는 그 길의 그 반대쪽으로부터 내게 소리쳤어.
= He shouted to me from the other side of the street. (= so that someone can hear you)

● Billy Russo: 네 자신을 봐... 한심하기도 하지...
